Hello Stamplings!

How are you this fine day? This year has created quite a pile-up on my desk. A new month starts up so quickly, the prior month is still stopped at the intersection and now there are six of them in a heap on the corner!🚨

My friends around the world tell me it is happening where they are, too, so an investigation has begun with a Special Inquiry Commission, manned by fourteen sub-Committees, three Budget Advisors, and a bar in the basement. You may expect a report soon. Hahaha!

Where I live, the arrival of June means the burgeoning of flora and fauna to the neighborhood. Happily, that includes honey bees!

Onefer
This is I = Ink/Color Mediums week on the I.D.E.A.S. Calendar and the inky background of the hive was created by smooching Lindy Magicals in honey colors. The giant ancient bee from Hero Arts was stamped hither, thither, and yon, matted with black, then white, and then embossed with a Darice honeycomb e/f. The black card base was also embossed. The hello sediment is from The Greetery.

Playing in Allsorts (A/G), Little Red Wagon (Create Your Own Background), and SSS Wednesday Challenge (A/G).
Twofer
For this simples design, I used the sketch from AAA Cards and the colors from CAS Colours & Sketches. The Hot Air Balloon and Mini Hot Air Balloon are from Memory Box.

I colored them with colored pencils and the lads had a merry time winking them. I was very patient as Hammy took his time retraining Stanley with the winker. I should have put them in the schplatter box first, but what's a bit of schparkle on the them ... and the floor ... and my shoe ...

I used a light gray card and stamped the sediment from Taylored Expressions in gray ink. I then embossed the panel and the baboons (separately) using the SU "Subtle" e/f before attaching them to each other.

And the inside:
The sediment here is from WPlus9, called "Birthday Wishes." I thought this design would work for the manly sort, so I'm also playing in Inkspirational (Word Prompt ~ For the Guys) and Krafty Chicks (Masculine week).
~~~
Enjoy your week! No, seriously, enjoy! LITS!*
As always, thank you for coming by to visit the Playhouse
and special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower!
If you're celebrating with me, today is "Say Something Nice Day," which, I mean, shouldn't that be every day? It's also "National Pen Pal Day," so to all my card pen pals out there, MWAH!
*Life is too short!
The 1st of June is supposed to be the start of meteorlogical summer but we had that last week!! This week we have rain, still the garden appreciates it. Your bee card is so sunny and full of movement and your balloons remind me that once we have still days the balloons will be heading over us from the airfield to the south, it's been too windy for them lateley. :)
Good morning! I'm in love with your Lindy Magicals background, and so impressed that all three of your embossed layers match up perfectly! Wonderful card! The balloons are also wonderful--the sentiment is perfect--love the idea of hovering over someone's birthday! Have a good week! We finally have the cutting garden planted. It needed an almost total overhaul this year. Now if it would just get warm and STAY warm!
Love your 'magical' background with all the bees, Darnell. The embossing and matting turning it into a fabulous card. I have that Subtle folder and never get the texture to look like that. I thought it was linen paper. It gives a fabric look to your beautiful balloons. Oh no, now I'm singing.
Summer is in your cards! Beautiful bee card. I love the honey colors of the background and the stunning bees on the card. The blue balloons are perfectly colored with crayons, which I'm sure gave you a therapeutic moment to calm your mind. Yes, you're lucky to have such helpful boys. The glow is amazing! Can I borrow them for a week sometime? I have three cats, they'll definitely have a lot of fun :-)
Hugs,
BożenA xx
And a big welcome to winter here in Australia... lucky for me we're in the sub tropics so it's just glorious... like autumn days - clear blue skies, sunshine and sweet cooler temps, just enough chill in the mornings for slippers and warm top. Anyway back to card making - you've done nicely this week Darnell with two lovely cards.. a very bright sunny one especially for the bees and another flyin' high in the clouds... well done, enjoy your week, hugs Robyn
Two terrific cards Darnell and the first is so bright and beautiful with the layers of embossed honeycomb and then that really pretty mix of colours using your Lindy's and such a sweet stamped bee image as well as the cut out/die cut one buzzing around the large 'Hello'. The second CAS one looks great with the wonderful balloons and I love the two part sentiment continued on the inside with more lovely balloons. x
Well now, I've been stung by a bee and have taken a hot air balloon ride, so both your cards brought back memories. I did wince a bit at the thought of a bee sting, but still appreciate your bright and sunny card. The balloon ride was so much fun--I would do it again in a nano second--so your balloon card made me feel all warm and fuzzy!
Love your cards, my friend! Especially fond of the artistic and beautiful first card! Thanks for your well wishes for Fritz. So encouraging that he's improving. Acts and "talks" like himself. Now if he can just consistently keep his balance! Will be good to give him some freedom again, which will also give us some freedom!😁
Scrumptious honey dripping colors on your first card! I can feel the sunshine and hear the buzzing bees and it's wonderful! Your balloons would have flown off to infinity and beyond in the wind we had here for a while, but now it's settled down and I can hear the birds and the bees again. Love the texture and, yes, a great masculine card. You're leaving me with a giggle over the bees clocking in at the hive, tee hee! Too funny... thanks!
