CASology Circles, Pixie Snips, and a MUSE CASE

Happy, happy day!

A realy quicky post today as I find myself acting like a headless chicken.  It's an unusual state for my normal slothy existence.

I made a card for these challenges:

CASology Week 33 where the cue card is "Circles."

Pixie's Crafty Snippets Week 61 because I used snips of scraps.  Now how easy can a challenge be?!

MUSE Card Club Challenge 6, where our Muse for this week is the extraordinary Deanna Jean from Kloset Kreations.  Here is Deanna's beautiful card for us to CASE:

I loved using her colors to make my own background paper using various circle and flower-center stamps I have.  I CASEd her boxed-in sentiment by using a stitched mat die from Lil' Inkers and drawing a line over the stitches to connect them.  So my card looks like this:

I know backgrounds can be distracting, but I had to include the full shot of my card with these adorable little flowers.  They are the only living flowers in all my pots because we had so many frostful nights for our area so everything else died.  If you know the name of this flower, please let me know.  I want to remember them for next fall in order to have color throughout the winter.

(Don't hate on me if you live in those parts of the country ~Kansas City~ where you are breaking snowfall records.  Heavy, wet snowfall records.  Spring will be here soon, I promise!)

~~~
It is my enormous pleasure today to welcome a new friend to the Playhouse!  Please take some time to visit Erin at CreatErin.  You will be happy you did!  Erin has been blogging for almost a year and she is an excellent card crafter.  Thank you, Erin, and welcome!!
~~~

Enjoy your day!  No, seriously, enjoy your day. LITS*!

*Life Is Too Short!

Paper:  SU! lucky limeaid; PTI white; unknown white

Hi Darnell, love your card and also those beautiful flowers, they must be tough to survive like that. They look like they might belong to the Gerbera family but I am not sure really - but I love them! Hugs, Annie xx

I love your take on Deanna's card! So pretty, along with the flowers. I am so ready for spring and it is snowing here today. :(

Love your bright, almost spring feeling card! We are still under at least 3 feet of snow here, so the planting will likely have to wait...for a bit at least. I adore the PTI sentiments!

I'm also thinking that the flowers could be Gerbera daisies. If so, they are prolific bloomers that LOVE the sun.

Your card is lovely, and so are those flowers! Could they be zinnias?

Beautiful card! Great CASE. :-)

The flowers - they don't look like gerberas or zinnias to me, although they're close to gerberas, so perhaps they're a hybrid or a relative of those? I'll keep thinking!

It's like Kansas here in Toronto today - even the snow plows are having a hard time with the heavy snow! But your card makes me think of spring - love the rich green card base! Thanks so much for playing along with us at CASology this week!

Gorgeous card Darnell. The colours are wonderful and I love the stitched mat die you have used.
Not sure what the flowers are called, they are beautiful so I hope you find out.

Oh what a fabulous card Darnell! You did a wonderful job on combining all of those challenges! I don't know what kind of flower that is , but it sure is pretty. I'm just a few hours from Kansas City and we still have snow on the ground. It's okay though, it's cozy inside :)

Beautiful flowers! I'll try not to hate you because of all the snow in my backyard. ;-)

Your card is adorable and makes me think of Spring. Of course, just about everything these days makes me think of Spring. I love the colors you chose and that perfect sentiment. Nicely done! ;-)

Great card, Darnell! Way to go getting so many challenges done with one card...I am not that talented! The leaves are NOT Gerbera I don't think, but I am wondering if it is some kind of Aster? Just a guess!

Beautiful card and flowers! I don't know what they are (the flowers) but they are definite keepers!

Beautiful card and great CASE Darnell. I haven't had time to play yet at Muse. I think I may miss it again. I love the stamp set you used for your left panel.

I would say your flowers are a miniature version of Gerberas. Certainly the right shape and colouring. Your Muse card is spiffing. Hugs Mrs a.

I'm living the headless chicken life today, too, Darnell. I just don't know where the day has gone--or what exactly I've accomplished! Looks like you accomplished a lovely CAS card in your playhouse for today. Great work!

Love this! Great idea using the die and drawing the line to connect them. I'll have to remember that one.

Hi Darnell, Love your pretty card for Muse, the colors are bright and springy...so much like what we are wishing for outside of our doors! I must admit I did see bits of green poking through the snow today... Yahoo!I haven`t been able to get my head around the Muse card this week, but you have done such an awesome job! Thanks for coming to my blog Darnell, I always appreciate the support!

I love this card. Such a fun pattern of circles, and that stitched mat is just perfect. Clever to connect the stitches.

The colours in this card make me happy! So bright and full of spring! We've just got over some snow here in the UK, now it's just the usual damp and dreary! Hey ho, the sun should find us soon enough!

Another CAS-ology card and my Muse card are on my list of things to do - hopefully today!

I answer to your question - I have always made CAS cards, I seriously struggle with shabby chic, although I do give it a go from time to time! My style seems to have gone super-CAS lately though, I've been making masculine cards instead of flowery ones! :)

Thank you for the inspiration, as always - I need to get my thinking cap on for this muse challenge - I don't think I'm going to do it justice but I'll have a crack!

Laters :)

Now I love your take on the MUSE card! Fab use of all those teensy stamps (that I never use, lol). And you have live flowers? Whatever those might be they're very pretty :)
And I'm holding you to that spring promise ;) We're getting more snow tomorrow - no record-breaking at the moment, but there's a bit of winter left in the ol' north it seems.

Fabulous card Darnell - you do come up trumps every time!! Extra goes on the swing for you :))

Hugs, Di xx

Love the zesty lime green with the pink ... the feature sentiment is fabulous, even more so with the touch of bling! My brain won't access the flower file so can't tell you what these are ... they're beautiful though! Anita :)

Both cards are just lovely Darnell. Nice to see some sunshine too! Thanks! xxx

Great card and job entering it into so many challenges.

Darnell, your card is amazing! I love the circles for CASology and the MUSE inspiration is obvious, too...so pretty! I thought your flowers were Gerber daisies but the leaves don't look like it, so now I'm curious, too! No snow here in NJ, but it is cold. I was happy to spy my daffodils beginning to emerge through the frozen ground...a hopeful sign for sure! Thanks for playing along at CASology this week!
