WOYWW #253

Hello Deskers!

I'm sorry I haven't been around for ever so long to the fabsational Ms. Julia's What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday (WOYWW). It's been a busy year so far and, for the most part, my desk is SOSO and not all that ravishing. I had, however, hoped to at least have a showing once a month and then I turned around and APRIL smackered me right in the face! I mean, April? How did that happen? The last time I looked up it was January twentieenth!

But today, today I have something to show! Behold a Washi Tape storage rack!

This ingenious rack is made by Mr. Butler, husband of none other than our own desker, Brenda B. of Butler's Abroad! They are called Giraffe Storage System and you can find them via Brenda's link. I would give the direct link, but I'm not sure if that's permitted. Mr. B. makes ribbon racks in all sizes and these new tape racks. I have used my tape rack for some of my Washi tapes and some of my larger/wider ribbons that don't fit in their assigned seating in their cabinets. So it's very Versa Tile. Thank you, Mr. B!

For cards and other news, please scroll around and make yourself at home. I've missed so many of you that only visit on Wednesday WOYWWs and it's a delight to pop back in to say hello. Hello! I am hoping to do it again more often and participate in the 5th anniversary (congratulations Julia!!) ATC swap coming up in only seven weeks.

Enjoy your day! No, seriously, enjoy.  LITS!*

Happy Spring!
As always, thank you for coming by to visit the Playhouse and special thanks to you if you take the time to leave a comment and/or join as a follower! Please let me know you came by, so I can be sure and return the flavor!

Hi and welcome home Darnell - 'cos that's what this WOYWW thingy feels like, doesn't it? Home, playing, with lots of good friends.
Liked the storage - most efficient.
See you again soon,

What a great idea Darnell, it looks as though you have some good storage solutions. I'm afraid I don't have a proper place to craft, I have to make do with the dining table which resides at one end of our sitting room. It doesn't make for a tidy situation but needs must as they say. x

What a great idea - turning a ribbon storage rack into a washi/ribbon rack. My washi tape languishes in an embroidery floss storage box and I tell myself I'm not allowed to buy anymore washi tape because I have no more room for storage. :)

Hi Darnell, great ribbon rack but I am getting to the stage where I am thinking of finding some way of having storage that hangs from the ceiling lol! its the only space left. I really need to sort stuff a bit.
Happy crafting, Angela x

Hey Lady! NICE RACK!!!! No seriously, it is fabulous for those large ribbon rolls. I think it is a bit overkill for washi tape. Maybe I just think that because I'd need another 8 of them or so...

Well this seems like a much better solution that the system I am using right now...oh wait, there is NO system!!! ha ha!!! Talk about not being around much...I feel terrible but I have gotten SO behind on my commenting!! It's this dumb job!! Looks like the project I'm working on will be sucking up all of my time for at least the next three months :( !!! So if you don't see me as much in the comments, please know that I'm still coming by, oohing and awwwwing at your cards, and laughing my buns off reading your posts! Miss thing is still thinking of Hammy too, although she is still ticked that he has competition with the other girls he has on the side!! hahahahhahaha!!!

Now I feel REALLY guilty, I have not joined in for the longest time... I don't know where the time goes either, wish I could do everything.

Your not the only one to have been missing for some time Darnell, I've been out of action for several weeks too but it's lovely to be back and visiting again. Love your washi/ribbon holder, though I'd need at least two for my humungous collection ... see my post today to see the truth of that statement :) Have a great week. Elizabeth x #77

PS: Love those striped ribbons :)

As you so rightly say, LITS. We need to remember that this is not a rehearsal, it is the real thing, and we should use every second to the full. thank you for your lovely comments this week. They were much appreciated. That storage looks so useful but I don't have any more flat space to use so all my ribbons and the like are in a box, tucked away out of the dust. Despite the weather, it was good to have a good blow at the sea for even just a short while. Hoping to get to the sea again later in the year before winter starts again. Have a good week. xx Maggie

Hi, Darnell! Discovered you through Suzanne's blog. You have a much too tidy desk. Love your Washi tape holder. Mine sits in a big glass vase. Love seeing all the colors. Will be back to see what you have been creating!

Very cool! I'm trying to get my nephew to build me a shelf for above my desk...since he works road construction all summer, I'm pretty sure it won't happen till winter. That should be in about two weeks! LOL! Nice here today - about 60 degrees! Sorry I'm so far behind. Later, dudette! Bev

Wotcher! Nice to see your lovely desk again, which is rather fetchingly festooned with washi tapes! I knew about Andrew's Giraffe system, but they are very clever. It's the first one I've seen in any detail. I bet you'll find it indispensable before long :-)
I don't know where the first quarter of the year went either! It seems to have just shot by and the diary isn't getting any emptier. Ah well, I try to fill each day with something and let me tell you , my cup runneth over...and no, that doesn't mean I need a new bra!
Hugs, LLJ 45 xx

Good morning, Darnell, how nice to find your sweet comment today! Time certainly does fly -- it's a cliche for a reason, I guess. :) Your new tape/ribbon holder looks very colorful and organized. Hope you're having a great day. {{{hug}}} Laura #105

What a fabulous ribbon/washi tape holder! Someone certainly has a talented hubby. I love to see idea's people come up with and their hubby executes. Love that iris too Darnell! Hugs

Petra Swart said...

I need one of these desperately!!! My ribbons are all stored in a cardboard box entangled terribly!!! But I must admit when storing them in a box and hunting for a suitable piece for your card, you always discover bits and pieces you've forgotten about - always a lovely surprise in my box!!

Late, late late!!! But I'm here at last! Lovely to see Andrew's products in use and getting the love they deserve, thanks for the plug, but most of all, we really hope you find it useful! If you're at a store soon, have a scan through the summer edition of CardMaker magazine, i think it's out soon! See what you can spot, lol! It's 74F here today but threatening thunder and windy enough to blow you inside out! Still, at least it's 74F!!

Hugs
