CASology #2, Part Deux; Dynamic Duos #11 Subtile Colors

Another Happy Hello!

I'm going to get right down to business today, believe it or else.  I made a second card for the great CASology challenge:

I've been wanting to make a card using the following inspiration for quite some time now and finally the right challenge came along.  Here is a picture of my yard art inspiration:

Isn't that a great piece of art?  You have to look closely to see the flower popped on top.  I thought that it would be appropriate for "happy," as it's hard to laugh and not be happy, IMHO.  At least you're happy in the exact moment of laughing, even if you are unhappy just before and after . . .

It's one of those "Laws of the Universe."  Like how before you get married and have children, you can talk on the phone and go to the bathroom in peace.  That all ends.  Men and children have built-in radar that alerts them when you pick up the phone or sit down on the toilet.  Am I right?!  It should be the topic of a scientific study.  Then, after the kids are grown and gone, you think you can do either of those things in peace again.  Not.  That's all I'm saying.  Bless his heart.

Okay, I gotta put a cork in it and finish this up or I'll be too late.  I am also linking with Dynamic Duos challenge, at the very last minute. Here are the colors:

Here is my card:

My Baja looks wrong in that photo.  Oh, that's because it's not Baja, it's PTI Spring Rain.  So it's no good for recognition, but it's close enough to linky, I thinky.  It is, as we like to say, UBER CAS!

I hope the nice ladies at CASology don't think it would be really funny and ironic to make next week's challenge word "Laugh."  (It's what I would wickedly do!)

Wait, someone's knocking on the door ... how nice!  Please visit and help me welcome our new friend, Jessi from One Crafty Mama!  Thank you, Jessi!

Enjoy!   As always, thank you for stopping by to visit.   Special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower or leave a comment!

Love that CAS card, Darnell! The flower is my favorite, just like on your inspiration piece. You're so right, you can't be sad when you're laughing, and you can't have a moment's peace after your say, "I do!"

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! (that's me LAUGHING, 'cause I know what next week's challenge is! lol). This is CAS perfection - thanks for playing along with CASology again!

Oh noooo! Here I thought all would get better after my 3 little ones are grown up a bit more! Come to think of it, though, DH does seem to have that radar you mentioned. sigh. Why is it our dear men seem to have a knack for going and sitting on the toilet when WE need them? Ever noticed THAT?! :) And, by golly, there's no hurrying them along either! LOL!

Love your pure CAS card! Thanks for joining us not once, but twice, this week at CASology! You've been on a roll...and I've been rolling on the floor with laughter reading your posts! Thanks for that too! :)

In our house we've added turn on a faucet! I've started just acting like I can't hear. Love the CASness of this card. Love the yard art too. What a delightful piece.

Hi Darnell,
I do love reading your blog, you always make me smile!
Love your card - great colour combo!
My other half's across in the UK this week so I'm getting loads of peace and quiet. Lots of time spent in the old craft room - uninterupted. Heaven!! xx

Definitely Uber CAS, and I like it! Oh, and the bathroom? Even if I sneak in and be very, very quiet, my children will search the house high and low yelling "Mu-um!" until they find me. YET, if I actually want them near me, they are nowhere to be seen! Murphy's Law!

Darnell that's fab. In my house it's when I get to the top of the stairs (& they are all downstairs) or just start brushing my teeth.

What a great description of family life...teehee

In my case, Mr Scrappymo! needed me for a few months...so of course I was there for him. Now that he is slowly getting stronger, I want my scrapping life back...
Instead I am stuck doing cheater cards and just when i think maybe I could make a real card...he is calling down to the dungeon "Are you nearly ready to come up and watch TV?"
LOL

So I'm reading your blog post and then I read this:
"Like how before you get married and have children, you can talk on the phone and go to the bathroom in peace."
Read it again. Go on. Can you see what I understood the first time? I'm thinking... seriously? Does she do that? Maybe she's really short of time?
Fortunately you clarified my misunderstanding with an 'or' in the next sentence so I'm not longer worried about your poor friends you ring on the phone!
Oh yes, card.... uber CAS as you say! Lovely combo of the colours and I like the pearl in the flower!

Oh yes and it carries through to the Grandchildren too - when they spring into the bathroom and carry on a normal conversation as if you are NOT sitting on the loo.....I'll say no more. Love your CAS card, it is a real beauty. A x

My dogs like to visit me when I'm on the toilet so it's not just men and kids... :)

Awesome take on your garden inspiration! I love the popped up little flower. Thanks for playing along with CASology this week!

I've just spent the last 30 min enjoying your blog posts and at this post I had to comment. The toilet thing - no need for a study - it's a fact of life.

I was still laughing as I scrolled down and saw the adorable card. You got it lady, laugh-a-day.
