A site for my handmade cards, accompanied by my photos and written meanderings which are occasionally witty, often tongue-in-cheek, and rarely profound. Beginning in June 2013, you'll also see lots of NBUS, which is an acronym I coined for Never-Before-Used-Schtuff. Note: my Privacy Policy can be found at a tab below and you can find my NBUS Challenge online. I hope you'll join in the fun there! Thanks for coming by! Have a beverage and enjoy!

Sorry, none at this time.

I hate for anyone to be left out, so please take a minute to read through the rules. Thank you!

How to Participate

If this is your first time, please first read all the "Guidelines/Rules" below. In addition to those rules, if you are interested in receiving the above item(s):
  1. Send an email to: djkardkreations {at} gmail {dot} com.
Note: this is a NEW email address!
  2. Type the Name and Item # in the subject line of your email
  3. To save back and forth emails and time, please also leave your mailing address in the body of the email, unless you know I already have your address from prior correspondence
  4. If you have a blog, please tell me the name of your blog
If you don't comply with the above, you will not be in the draw.  Thank you!

  • You must be a follower. In fairness to all, if you don't want to be a genuine friend of this blog, please do not follow simply because of the giveaways. I will know if you are a friend by your past and future visits and comments on my home posts. Thank you for understanding.
  • All of you who do not have blogs can also participate since this process will be done by email communication only, and not by commenting on this page.
  • The item(s) will be posted for ten days and then removed at noon PDT on the tenth day.
  • Immediately thereafter, a drawing will be held of those who emailed according to the directions and the winner will be contacted.
  • If you are interested in the item(s), please see "How to Participate" above.
  • This process will be rinsed and repeated whenever I have items to put up for free.

Many of you have offered to pay for postage for the item(s) you win. Thank you for the kind offer, but the logistics of having you send me a tiny amount in a check that I will then need to get to the bank just makes more work for me. I'm doing this because it will give me great pleasure to see my items go to good homes and I'm more than happy to pay the postage. But I do appreciate the offer.
Oh, and, PAHLEASE, do not turn around and send me any product in return! The whole point is that I am trying to Minnie Mize my schtuff! Thank you!

Community Giveaways:

Some have suggested/asked if they could send me items they have to give away for me to include on this page. I'm sorry, but I am not able to be a clearinghouse for other crafter's items at this time. A suggestion was also made for me to link other blogger's giveaways on this page. Right now, I just want to launch this and see how it goes and keep it as simple and straightforward as possible. I may try to find a way to do linkups down the road. In the meantime, if you do have a giveaway, feel free to tell my readers about it in your comment below. Thank you!

Good luck and enjoy your day!! Hammy is ready to spin the names and pick the winners!

Thanks for the chuckles with your novella...and an ever so-close-to-home reminder of my own similar situation! I will be watching your Giveaways tab (as if I need anything else) because I've done the same thing - boxed up items and sent them to other good homes! It feels good to pay-it-forward.

Love your posts and look forward to your giveaways. Being a fairly new stamper, I'm always excited to get more.

Thank you, Darnell, for inspiring me. Your latest email is the push I needed to re-vamp all my paper craft items. Due to a broken leg, I'm spending more time at home so I'm off the the craft room right now.

Is this decision had the effect of champagne consumed within in the New Year? It's a beautiful and crazy initiative :-) but as you can see, cheered very many hearts :-) You're great!

Karenladd said...

Oh, you are sneaky Darnell. By deciding to purge and give away, you have roped in all the rest of us and destined us to a life of hoarding!! Of course, we all know that we were already hoarders, or why else would be standing in line here? What you say makes all too much sense, and I would guess that we probably all have enough for five lifetimes. I, myself resolve to start using more of the "good stuff" that I always save instead of use...and we shall see where it goes. Happy New Year and good luck!!

It's so generous from you, Darnell!
I will see surely a lot of items that I like, because in Italy there aren't so much items... And even in the english on line stores from which I buy sometimes there aren't all the american items...

I see that Blogger has also micro-mini'd your Comment section! Why do they mess with us like this? Do 'they' think we're having fun? Why are they always trying to "fix something that aint broke?"

Your generosity is truly heart warming dear friend!

Hi Darnell
Great idea here. Thanks for your generosity!

Yup - I manage to buy dies without the matching stamps on a regular basis. Although to be fair I think MFT's sight is not the best at letting you know what goes with what.

I think Hammy is going to be a very busy little dude this year! :D

You are so sweet and I LOVE this "Giveaway" idea and love to Pay it Forward!

I am in the process of a major PURGE and simply HAVE too much stuff...so I'm slowly sending RAKS's to those who need goodies (new stampers and those who are low of funds for 'Whatever' reason! I LOVE to help others and people are so kind and grateful!

I also donated three "Prize Packages" to "The Outlawz Challenges", which will be given out in February, March and April...I lvoe sharing and it makes me feel good.

I also plan to sell some of my goodies at low prices and will use the funds to cover my out of pocket medical stuff...battling Cancer is so expensive, but I know I'm lucky to have decent insurance..it could be so much worse!!

Just wanted to tell you I may "lift" this idea and HOPE you will NOT mind!!!
