Hello Stamplings!
I hope you are doing well! I'm happy to be back in Blogland! In the past months, I've missed wishing you a few Happy "Thises" and Happy "Thatses," but I couldn't miss popping my head up today!
I went to heat-emboss a sediment for a card the other day and when I opened the Drawer of Heat Embossing, I just stood there staring down at it. Too soon. So today I will just enter stage left very softly, on tippy-toes, and share these cards I made the first part of last September last year:
They're all the same, but different. I used some of my pretty colored cardstock for the bases to showcase the "Stitch Wreath" die from Poppystamps and just puzzled my way around the wreath using the Jigsaw Technique, punctuating some of the card fronts with scoring.
With a new year, like many of you, I have been trying to think of ways to schpark my mojo. It hurt my head. I finally decided, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it," so I will continue with my I.D.E.A.S Board, which was a big help the last two years.
This is the first week of February, which is I = Ink/Color Medium. I'm not sure if I'll manage a regular weekly routine or not, but I hope my mojo juices start flowing again soon.
By the way, before you ask, Hammy is still with me.🐹Thankfully, our neighbors agreed to foster Hammy and Stanley during my break, but their daughter Daphne fell totally in love with young Stanley! I couldn't break her heart, so he lives with her now. Happily, we get to see them nearly every day.
I want to thank you again for your friendship over these last many months, for sticking with me, and for all your emails, cards, prayers, and best wishes for both of us! I'm proud to be a part of such a great and caring online community, especially in these distressing times! The Mister still has a lot of rehab to do, but he is very positive and determined and he is making great progress:
Enjoy your day! No, seriously, enjoy! Life is too short ~ don't ever take it for granite!
As always, thank you for coming by to visit the Playhouse for all or some of the past almost 15 years and special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower!

Brilliant to see you back in Blogland and it seems you've been taking good care of the Mister - he's looking well in the photo you shared. Happy Anniversary BTW. Good to see the 'IDEAS' idea is still around for inspiration
The wreath die cut looks so pretty in these various guises and def worth all the fiddly fitting of the leaves in place.
So happy to 'hear' your voice again Darnell, I've missed your wonderful sense of humour! Glad to hear that the Mister is slowly getting there and staying positive. A PMA has a lot of benefits! :)
WELCOME BACK TO BLOGLAND and thanks for the update on The Mister, Hammy and Stanley. Best of luck with the remaining rehab journey

Lovely to see you back, and a great photo, many congratulations on your anniversary. I’m not back posting yet though!
Oh, Darnell! What a wonderful way to start my day! Your four cards are beautiful; I love each of them. Inlaid designs are among my faves! But, of course, the greatest pleasure came in seeing you and Kevin together out to eat for such a special occasion. Welcome back! You know we've missed you so!
Great cards !!!!!!
And congrats with the 55th wedding anniversary !
Great to see you back, Darnell! Kevin is looking great... as are you! Continued prayers for both of you <3
I'm so happy to "see" you post again, Darnell. That is definitely a positive sign in the Mister's recovery! You've definitely been missed. Congratulations on your wedding anniversary. What a wonderful celebration that must have been. Beautiful cards with such a lovely message. Take care, my friend! Gentle hugs!
Looking great you two - so glad Mister is well on the mend & that you had a happy anniversary!! Your inlaid wreath quartet of cards is stunning - especially love the scored versions!! Thanks for the reminder about IDEAS because your program has been a big help to me too!!
So happy to see your post this morning Darnell and your cards are wonderful...welcome back!! You've definitely been missed in blogland, but we all totally understand the hubby comes first, and so glad that he is making good progress! Take care of both of you and we'll see you when we see you...no rush!! Hugs. :0)
How lovely to see you back and with a great photo of the two of you. Sorry you didn't get to make anything new - it will come. These are all lovely and now I want that die! Hugs L x
SO GLAD you are back even without mojo. I was getting worried 😉. Hopefully the mojo returns. Your cards were awesome!
So good to see a post from you Darnell! Cute picture of you and your hubby, glad he is on the road to recovery, I will continue to send prayers. Your cards are stunning, like the inlaid wreaths and the sentiment is great! Hugs, Donna
YAY!!!!!!!!!!! SO glad to hear from you and see your beautiful cards, what amazing die! I'm glad to hear that the Mister is doing well and things are progressing. It must've been amazing to get to go out and not be pointed towards a doctor or rehab -- and CONGRATULATIONS on your Anniversary -- 55!!!
Welcome back, Darnell!! Your cards are VERY lovely. Super picture of you and the mister.
Welcome back to blogland with your lovely collection of cards - that's definitely another die for my 'wish list'. It's good to see you and The Mister out and about and to hear he is making good progress.

Wow! That you were able to go to dinner for your anniversary is beyond wonderful! A picture to frame! Thank goodness for some things that truly bring joy to our lives! I'm focusing on them and not even listening to most of the rest, which may or may not be good. But it's how I survive. By the way, I adore these cards! Think I have something similar I could use to make these, so you've helped my mojo even feeling you don't have yours yet!
Darnell, I'm happy to see you anytime with anything you choose to post. These cards are beautiful with the lovely stitched wreath in the different colors. It's good to see the picture of you and Kevin out enjoying yourselves. I know it's been a long, hard road for you both.
I'm sorry you and your husband have been through such a difficult time these past few months. I'm glad Kevin is starting to recover, that he has strength and determination. I hope you can finally find time to create cards. I've really missed your posts and your beautiful cards. I'm glad you're posting again. And the cards you've been hiding since September are truly beautiful. I love the whole set, and the inlay makes each card unique.
I'm so glad you're back, my dear Darnell.
Congratulations on your 55th wedding anniversary. May you continue to be healthy and happy.
Big hugs to you and your husband.

I am so happy to hear that things are improving for you and You are finding some time to get back to your hobby. I love your cards so stylish and yet simple. Inlayed die cuts is one of my favourite techniques. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing the picture xx
I'm happy to see you in Blogland again. And nice to see both of you happy at the photo. Happy anniversary!
Big hugs, Sonja
What a wonderful photo of you and Kevin and he's looking great as are you too, and congratulations on your 55th anniversary and I know he still has quite a way to go but I'm sure he will get there. I'm also thrilled that you have decided to dip your toe in the water with this post showing some beautiful inlaid wreath die cards which I love, and am looking forward to joining in with your I.D.E.A.S. again which I found helped me enormously to get more cards made by using the weekly prompt for those times when the mojo isn't playing ball. x
What an absolute treat to see a post pop up from sweet you! As fabulous as your cards are, it's that photo of you and the Mister that makes my heart happy! So glad things are going well!
I did a happy dance when I saw your post (it wasn't pretty--thank goodness no one was watching). Your cards are beautiful. That is a great die. I love the score line embellishment, too. You and the mister make such a cute couple. Congrats on 55 years. That's quite a milestone!
Hooray! Many happy returns from downunder, Darnell sooo wonderful to see your post! 😅 happy 55th Anniversary that a milestone, and Mister is looking most chipper considering the long tough road. You've made my day, I've loads of cards to share and when I've time I must blog too. As been a tad AWOL too. Praying on for full recovery 🙏🏻!
Prayer hugs, Shaz in Oz.x 🙏🏻🤗❤️
What a fabulous photo of the two of you looking so well and happy! I hope your mojo returns when it’s ready, and delights us as much as these pretty cards have. Belated Happy Anniversary! Xxx
Think of getting back into card making like Mister's rehab, Darnell, a little bit at a time to strengthen those creative muscles. Going to the playhouse and looking at what you have may spark something but don't let it overwhelm you. And I've heard that CASEing yourself is a good way to get mojo going again.
Happy Anniversary! It's good to see the two of you and I'm glad the Mister was well enough to celebrate. I think of you both often and am glad that things are progressing. Hugs to you both.
I'M SO GLAD TO SEE YOU BACK! You have been missed. The mojo will come back. That first card is the hardest! All that inserting of tiny leaves looks a lot harder than embossing. Four gorgeous cards with a lovely message! You and Kevin are looking good! Keep looking up!
Welcome back! I missed seeing your gorgeous cards and reading about your life. Glad to hear things are improving. I look forward to more card inspiration,
So excited to receive word you were back in my inbox today! Happy anniversary to you and the Mister - glad to see he's looking so well and continuing to improve! Hugs, Kate!
I rarely read comments, I just say what I have to say and move on. I did read every one of yours today and I sit here with tears running down my face to see how much you are loved and missed. How wonderful. These cards are beautiful but seeing the recent picture is so uplifting. The Mister looks so well and I'm so happy you are both getting out and enjoying time together again. Happiest of Anniversaries to you both and healing thoughts as he continues to get better and better. Your mojo will come back and IDEAS will help.
I forgot to say keep us updated on Stanley and Daphne. This sounds serious.
Glad to see you back in blogland!
Live al the variations!
And good to read the revalidation is going good! Succes on that for both of you for the comming months! Hugs, Gerrina
So good to see the Mister up and about and congratulations on your anniversary ❤️
Beautiful cards, that die is so casalicious xx
Hi Darnell, lovely to see you back in blog land, I have been MIA too, from other replies I hope your husband's rehab is going well, I spent just short of 12 weeks in a rehab hospital, and found out last week that my 2 inch screw they put into my heel has to come back out...
Your cards are all beautiful but I love the ones with the dry embossed lines, adds interest without any extra layers. My first session in my craft corner ended when I fell flat on my face, suspect my blood pressure dropped when I stood up... have a wonderful week... Megan
Love your four cards on those soft colours of card stock. An excellent sentiment for these uncertain times. Glad to see the Mister was able to go out for dinner to celebrate your anniversary!
