NBUS Flowers II

Hello Stamplings!

I hope you're doing great as we run headlong into May! As one month rapidly comes to an end, I'm constantly reaching up and lifting the page of my wall calendar to see what I have coming up the first week of the next month. Right? I should find myself a calendar that has the whole month and the first week of the next month on the same page. I'm pretty sure someone has thought of that before.

Even with the birds and bees and lizards entertaining me through the window, I've kept on track in the Playhouse. I've got lots to share today, so here we go.

Three
The NBUS flower on this design is a die from Memory Box called "Dreamy Freesia." I had the cutout NBUS frame in my BOB (box of bits) and I found a snippet of the same textured paper and cut the freesia to match. The frame is from Altenew and it's called "Leaf Frame Cover Die."

The background came from BOB also. It's from a Zoom class a long time ago where we blended ink on glossy/photo paper and then used baby wipes to polish. Hammy sprayed water over it with the tiny water gun he got from Adam and Henry. I love how dreamy the card turned out, considering the name of the flower die.

Four(s)
The NBUS flower stamp silhouette used above is from North Coast Creations, called "Something Marvelous." I made four of them to use up more of the floating alcohol backgrounds I showed you the other day. I was really pleased at how well the Archival ink dried on the Yupo paper after leaving the images sitting on the window sill for several days. (Kudos to Hammy for not knocking them off the sill!) The pierced frame is from Papertrey Ink.

~~~
This similar NBUS silhouette stamp is also from North Coast Creations. This one is called "Heaven's Masterpiece" and it is also stamped on an AI bath background. The NBUS sediment is from Waffle Flowers "Elegant Sentiments" and the stitched die is from Reverse Confetti.
I am very sad to say that I will be sending this card to the husband of a dear blogging friend, Suzy "Ike" Eisenhower (Ike's World). Ike and I met through What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday (WOYWW) and she left her first comment on my blog on May 1, 2013. It was the beginning of a lovely friendship. She was immensely talented, extremely thoughtful, and well-loved. She died too young after a valiant battle with cancer and she will be greatly missed. RIP Ike.
An exquisite selection of cards Darnell - so glad Hammy helped with his water pistol, and also did not tip the AI backgrounds off the window ledge :)
So many beautiful cards, Darnell. I hope this means your recovery is progressing and you can work on cards again, at least for a bit. The sympathy card for the husband of your friend is just lovely and I'm sure it will give him a measure of comfort at this difficult time. Thank you for always encouraging us in your posts, Darnell. You are such a treasure.
Am pretty sure the ink wouldn’t dry here Darnell though might in winter our humid rainy weather at mo would need another idea to stamp on yupo prob Stazon, which I really hate the smell of it and my pad is used once or twice. I’ve a whole Refill someone kindly gave me once too.
Do do LOVE the silhouettes I’ve three different sets one is NBUS I hang my head in Shane you’ve a wonderful collection to give away.
I am so sorry to ear about your blogging friend, that is so sad and always a shock to the system. Your cards are all wonderful. I watched the video on using alcohol ink in water and thought I would give it a go, but of course I haven't and now need to watch it again! It is alway wonderful to use up things from your Bob, although mine never does seem to get smaller however much I use! xx
Well you really have been busy Darnell making a great selection of cards! Thank you for answering my storage questions. I think I need to reorganise by theme instead of brand. I’m sure it will make it easier to find what I want. I just need to find the time to do it! xx
Ooh, I really like the silhouettes on those alcohol ink backgrounds. I seem to have purchased quite a few nature silhouette stamps, but many of them at still in their packages. I need to take your lead and USE THEM! A beautiful background, a silhouette image and a sentiment..and you have a gorgeous card.
I'm also hoping to make some cards for Ukraine but have been waiting for Jennifer McGuire's Ukrainian sentiment download to be available.
I share your sorrow at the loss of Ike, and agree that we have lost a talented, unique and encouraging part of our crafting world. So sad.
Beautiful array of flower cards Dolly! It's wonderful to be able to use up some of your gorgeous AI panels for the background. Your die-cut cover plate is so pretty, and I'm loving all your gorgeous silhouette stamps. Great work continuing with using your NBUS flower stamps and dies. I have not made any headway with my non-flower images. :) YOU are inspiring me to think about them though. :) Love you, Lolly
Wow, you have been busy Darnell and your first leafy frame and freesia work well together and the soft green background is so pretty, and the NCC silhouette florals are gorgeous and more wonderful floating AI backgrounds put to good use, also love both the different die cut frames, so elegant. These months fly by so fast it makes my head spin. I feel like I am possessed sometimes it spins so fast! Beautiful cards Auntie! I love that first one, the colors are so pretty. I love any kind of silhouette wild flowers, so I am loving the last five cards too. They always make such pretty cards to me. I love your backgrounds you have made as well. That frame on the four cards is so nice, love that. I love that Hammy helped you out with his water pistol and I'm super glad he didn't push the Yupo papers panels on the floor whilst they dried. Oh how wonderful there is a place to send cards to go to the Ukraine Soldiers to keep their spirits up! I will have to check into that, I always love supporting soldiers, but right now especially the Ukraine soldiers. This is so awesome! Hugs, Brenda
