My Twofer Cards for May's Twofer Card Challenge!

Hello Stamplings!

It's always fun to share my twofer cards with you a coupla times a week, but it's especially fun to share my "official" TWOFER cards with you on the 10th of every month! This month the Prompt is BUTTERFLIES!

Here we go!
My butterfly is a Clearly Besotted butterfly from "Everything Changes." It was borrowed at the Lake House and stamped and die cut from a Brusho panel for both my Love and Encouragement cards.

My Onefer:
The stem of the flower is from an old daffodil stamp. The flower is from "Fabulous Florets" by SU, colored with Ziggies. Naturally, the butterfly and flower are winked to within an inch of their lives. The NBUS sediment is from Mama Elephant's "Everyday Greetings." The embossed frame is "Stately" from Craft Concepts.

My Twofer:
I have to say I had fun with this card. I thought a cluster of these cute Clearly Besotted butterflies would make a stunning bouquet, but Hammy made me wait while he scampered all around the room and opened all the drawers to see if there was a stamp in the Playhouse that we might use in some other unconventional way. I don't know who squealed louder when we both saw the NBUS Penny Black stamp called "Jet Setter" at the same time! We realized that she could be turned into a modern day fairy with the addition of my Twofer butterfly as wings!

I started by stamping and watercoloring the awesome toadstool from Purple Onion. On a separate panel, I stamped Ms. Jet Setter and fussy cut her. (The actual stamp image, which you'll see in the next post, has her sitting on a suitcase, hence the "jet setter" name.) I gave her a haircut, colored her, plopped her on top of the toadstool, and added the perfect sediment. A few sequints finished the design.

~~~
I hope you'll find time to play along this month with your beautiful butterflies! Remember, you don't need to go unconventional with either of your two designs. Our Guest Designers, Linda and Mac, and the talented ladies on the Design Team will inspire you with their incredible cards over at TWOFER!
Don't forget to use sediments reflecting two different occasions. If your card front is blank, please tell us in your post what occasion you had in mind. Thank you!
 ~~~

Enjoy your day! No, seriously, enjoy! LITS!*

As always, thank you for coming by to visit the Playhouse and special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower! Please let me know you came by so I can be sure and return the flavor!

We're about to embark on Stage 2 of our travels - having been home less than 122 hours - (and I believe you're out-and-about jet-setting as well. Welcome to Canada!!) but wanted to pop in to say that I adore and LOVE what you've done with the Clearly Besotted butterfly! The fairy wings? Only exponentially clever and marvelously cute!

Darnell, both your cards are fabulous and stunningly beautiful. Your first card is so pretty, love the gentle colours, how you did that wonderful flower and that ever so pretty butterfly. Wink of Stella is good for me x Such a contemporary and creative second card. No wonder you and Hammy squealed in delight when you came up with this idea. Just love how you chopped up the 'Jet Setter' young lady and even gave her a hair cut, then fussy cut her and sat her on top of that glorious toadstool....Love the encouragement sentiment, which is so perfect for the contemporary image and layout. Great cards, fabulous inspiration and absolutely stunning.....Both of them x

Two beautiful and fun cards, Darnell! I'm determined to join in your challenge one day, but I have to admit to being a bit intimidated by the thought of making two different cards with the same stamps/dies. Which is crazy because we all do that at one time or another, but to do two together makes me skeered :) . I will overcome my fear one of these days and join in, I promise!
