FMS#73; MUSE #4 ~ A Zest for Life!

And we're back around to Friday ~ whoosh!  I sure hope everyone had a Happy Valentine's Day yesterday!

The time is running out on this week's MUSE Card Club challenge.  The Design Team Muse for our crafting pleasure this week is the terrific Therese Calvird of Lost In Paper.  This is her brilliant card:

Half Full

Yummo!  The colors are so vital and so fun, perfect for the image.  And isn't that another great philosophy?  We should always live half full!

(Personally, I live all the way full, as evinced by my waistline.)

While CASEing Therese's card, I used this cool sketch by Jen B. over at Freshly Made Sketches:
We are free to draw our inspiration from any of the elements of Therese's card. For example, design/layout, color combination, pattern, texture, image, style, embellishment, and/or technique.  I used generally the same colors as Therese and the same theme.

That big circle you see is supposed to be a slice of lime.  I drew it by hand, so that explains why it looks more like a blood-shot eyeball after too many of those little Lime Mickeys!

This card reminds me of that game where you make a new word by changing only one letter of the current word:  If you liKe, add a little liMe to your liFe for a zesty way to liVe!

~~~
This post may seem a little heavy on the corny "enjoy life" sayings, even for me.  It's because my sister Donna's husband passed away yesterday.  He'd been ill off and on for a very long time, but still, it's a life over and it's very sad.
Enjoy your day!   No, seriously, enjoy your day.   LITS!
Thank you so much for stopping by the Playhouse. Special thanks to you if you take the time to leave a comment or join as a follower!
I'm sorry about your sister's husband. You are absolutely right in your philosophy of life - it's too short to waste! (like my life may be too short to ever finish reading Anna Karenina for book club - ugh!) Love the purple and all the sparkly green, and I love the word zest. Somehow the z words have so much zing!
Great minds think alike... I also wanted to do this, but didn't have a stamp that could work.
Still used the sketch with the same color combo!
Sorry to hear about your sister's loss
So sorry about your bil. It's a hard thing to go through, but with a sister like you, she'll have great help and comfort.
Your card is waaay fun. Love your lime, but would rather have the drinky-pooh. ;) Great sentiment, something we should all do more of. Gotta love that green and purple. Bev
My deepest sympathy for the loss of your brother-in-law. Truly, live each day...with zest!
Fabulous creation you artsy little chica!
Your lime really does look like a lime, not an eye affected with Conjuctivitis (googled the medical term for blood shot eyes!)
Tough day for you guys. Hang in there and hug your Mister tightly!
Hi Darnell, I am so sorry to hear of your Brother-in-Law's death, how very sad for your Sister and the family. My sympathies to all of you.
Your card is so beautiful and does not look like blood-shot eyes at all - well maybe just a wee bit........
I am sure you will be a great help to your Sister. Big hugs, Annie xx
I'm sorry to read about your brother-in-law, that is so sad especially on Valentines day. And you are right life is for the living and we should live with our glass half full or completely full, so enjoy those martini's. Love your card including the giant lime:) Have a great weekend, Shirleyx
Stunning card ... the lime is very limey, not at all like an eyeball ... brilliantly done. Love the sparkle ... adds zest to life! Anita :)
This is a great card and I totally agree, it's a fantastic sentiment!! We have also lost someone recently and it really makes you appreciate what you have and the opportunities that you must NOT let pass by! :)
I'm so sorry for your loss, Darnell. It doesn't matter if someone's been ill - it's never easy, is it? Life is too short indeed.
I didn't think it looked like an eyeball until I read your description...and now of course all I can see is that eyeball ;) I love all the corny enjoy life sayings - and I'm sending you & your family hugs & warm thoughts for the tough days ahead. LITS!
After giggling through your reference citing about the hummers, I zoomed in on this huge eyeball! My oh my! After all that Nemo Virus, I thought I'd lost it. Or that you'd lost it. I'm so glad it's a slice of lime! And if anyone lives with zest, it's you, my friend!
