Thank you for taking a break from whatever you were doing and stopping in! We got a last-minute call that the twins are feeling better, so we're heading out to meet the family for lunch. Yippee!
For my card today, I used this delightful sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch:
And thanks to the great ladies who bring us these fun challenges to fuel our imaginations, I am also playing in this week's CASology, where the cue card is "DRINK," and Addicted to CAS: ATCAS #5, where the code word is "HEARTS." Thanks to Di and her encouragement to use up my scraps, I am joining the girls on the snowy playground at Pixie's Crafty Snippets. I hope you get a chance to check out these great challenges!
I turned the olive cocktail pick into a heart cocktail pick for you to stir your martini, baby, made extra icey cold so's not to melt your hearts too soon. Slurp.
Oh, and I used a marker to ink up my martini stamp, so I could leave part of the stem uninked in order to lay my sentiment in the middle of it. Then, after stamping the sentiment, I just sketched in the stem by hand, so it ended up looking like one big image, instead of two. Did I fool ya?
Speaking of parties, please help me welcome more new friends! Today we have:
Sandra of Sandra's Stamping Spot
Maria of Crafty Cre8tions. If you like dogs, her banner will have you kissing your monitor!
Beth of Beth's Little Card Blog
Diane McVey (let me know if you have a blog, Diane, so I can mention it)
Welcome, ladies, and thank you so much!!
Just real quick, for those of you who have been praying for, or sending positive thoughts to, my blog friend, Bernie, I want you to know her bowl of onions is not quite as big as she feared, but she still does need us to help her get through her fight with cancer. You do make a huge difference and she is so appreciative and so am I. Thank you!
You're the best! In fact, here's a favorite song of mine, all about peeps helping peeps! Bill Withers, singing "Lean on Me," here.
Okay, gotta dash for a twin fix! You enjoy your day today, too! No, seriously, enjoy your day. LITS!
Thank you so much for stopping by the Playhouse. Special thanks to you if you take the time to leave a comment or join as a follower!

Now that idea for leaving out part of the stamped image, is genius! You definitely had me fooled. Don't get too excited, though, because that doesn't tend to be hard to do exactly ;)
YAY! for twink recovery. I have a single sicko at home and am waiting for the rest of us to fall like dominoes. Again.
Well now itsn't that just a clever little idea..and darn right cute!
You are so sweet Dranell. Thanks for the link, loved the song, I am leaning on you and lots of others. Fantastic card! You must have a steady hand, can't tell where the stamp stopped and you took over. Fabulous!
Love & Hugs
Beautiful Valentines card. Enjoy your time with the twinks.
This is fabulous Darnell. I love the way you have added the hearts and the way you have placed the sentiment.
I wish your friend Bernie all the best with her fight with cancer and send more positive thougnts her way.
I hope you enjoy the rest of the day
This is a job WELL DONE, Darnell!
Awesome take on the sketch!
Aww thanks so much for the welcome! I just popped to see your gorgeous cARd and saw my name! :-)
I love this stamp - perfect for so many cards - or maybe that just shows the calibur of my friends! ;-)
Love Beth xx
P.S. Thanks for the blog tips, can't get the widths to do anything so I may enlist further help!!
Okay, Darnell, this may be my new favourite of yours! Love the hearts instead of olives and the sentiment placement is fabulous!! Hope you had a lovely lunch with the twinks and thanks for playing along with CASology and CAS(E) This Sketch this week!
Fabulous card, Darnell. If I was poured a cocktail garnished with hearts, I might actually be persuaded to drink alcohol :) Elizabeth xx
PS: love that Bill Withers number :))
Love your martini of hearts, Darnell, and the way you sketched in the stem of the glass around the sentiment--genius!
Gorgeous card, Darnell! The heart stirrer is genius, and I love the sentiment font. Enjoy your twinkie fix.
Hi Darnell !!!!! I've missed quite a few of your posts, can't keep up :) Love your valentine martini with the clever stamping. My favorite of your recent posts is the black & white one on the previous, gorgeous ! Also like your pretty bright flower card in the previous to the previous post (how is that for memory and weird English?)
I hope all is well, congrats on 200 plus followers ! Happy Sunday, Shirleyx
I love all your details on this card...so pretty!
Darnell I think you I need to meet for martini's one day my friend. Love your card, the pick is totally creative and love your interpretation of the sketch. Thank you so much for sharing with us this week at CASology!

Love the way your sentiment fits in the stem - terrific result!
Very clever!!! Love the hearts in the glass!!!
Love how you inserted the sentiment into the stem - I figured you had masked it. Love the idea of it being so cold so that the hearts don't melt! Thanks so much for playing along with us at CASology this week, Darnell!
Hi Darnell, love your card, that is a great tip about the stem too. Good to hear that the Twinks are feeling better and also that Bernie is OK too. Take care and have fun with the Twinks. Hugs, Annie xx
Oooh, great take on the sketch!

Boy, you fooled me, Darnell. I had to stare at your martini glass for a while before I figured out how it was done. GREAT card, love the little hearts on the pick and your expertly stamped greeting. And you already know how I feel about martinis...
This is too darn cute! So creative to use the hearts for your olive and I bet they taste better too.
Love what you make the martini glasses ~ your Christmas cards were fantastic, but I think this one for Valentine's Day one is even better!!! You are rocking ~ four challenges in one card! Glad to hear the twinks are better ~ hope you enjoyed your lunch!
Super card! Love the hearts on the cocktail stick!
Aren't you clever to get that martini glass perfectly around the sentiment! I love the hearts instead of olives and some more pretty ribbon!
This might be one of the most clever stamping tricks I've seen yet! I LOVE how it turned out, and way to combine all those challenges into one fabby card! You rock :)
Clever as ever! You are always full of surprises, so it shouldn't be a surprise at all how you figured out a way to get that sentiment so perfectly centered in the middle of that glass stem!! :) Love this CAS beauty! All the hearts just make me smile! Thanks for joining us again at CASology!
Darnell, I can always count on inspiration and a chuckle when I visit your blog! Your card is amazing...the hearts with the olive stick? Oh MY, how clever! The stem masked and hand-drawn in? AMAZING. Thanks for joining us at CASology again...always a pleasure to see your cards!
Now, if that card creation isn't just the most cleverest, then I just don't know what is!!! So super fun, Darnell :)

Hope you had fun with the twinks Darnell. I love your gorgeous Martini of Lurve but I think I'd better stick to coffee this morning! Vicky x
PS I got the nail through the finger 'joke' from a shop called The Works. Don't know if you have that in the states? If not, I think any joke shop will oblige!
Clever, clever, really this is clever in more than just one way! The hearts instead of olives and the way you left out the part of the stem and then added it back in. Awesome looking card as well! You ROCKED this sketch "baby" ;)
One Martini, 2 martini, 3 Martini FLOOR!
Love your card.
Inking the stamp with pens - great idea... you certainy had me fooled - i DID thin it was one stamp :)
