A site for my handmade cards, accompanied by my photos and written meanderings which are occasionally witty, often tongue-in-cheek, and rarely profound. Beginning in June 2013, you'll also see lots of NBUS, which is an acronym I coined for Never-Before-Used-Schtuff. Note: my Privacy Policy can be found at a tab below and you can find my NBUS Challenge online. I hope you'll join in the fun there! Thanks for coming by! Have a beverage and enjoy!

LIM WEEK 56 - Don't Scrap It!

This week Chrissie and Mandi at Simply Less Is More challenged us to use our scraps to make a card.  Honestly, I couldn't quite decide how I wanted to play with this.  I do save my scraps and, um, yes, I don't use them as often as I should, but when I do use them, they don't look like they are scraps.  You know what I mean?  I don't think you can tell whether I cut them from a bigger piece of paper, or used a scrap from something else.  Soooo, because I couldn't think of how to do this, just for fun, I reached in my waste paper basket and made a card out of an otherwise not-useable scrap.

It's silly, I know, but I got a kick out of it.  I do thank Chrissie and Mandi for the challenge as it does remind me to be more environmentally aware and use my bits and pieces more often.

Please welcome my new follower, Jean Berling!  Have a great Sunday everyone!  I can't wait to see what you all put together for this challenge!

Enjoy!

Paper:  SU Whisper White, Old Olive, and DSP
Stamp:  Hero Arts E2094
Ink:  Papertrey Ink, and Marvy Markers

It looks like you had your tongue well and truly in your cheek with this one Darnell... WE always know when we've used scraps, even if others couldn't tell, we just wanted to encourage the use of all those saved treasures!
You obviously had fun!
Thanks so much
Chrissie

A fun card! I bet you'll be looking at everything twice before throwing it away now!

You got me! But I was sincere about appreciating the encouragement because I do get lazy about looking through my scraps and using them like I should. (I'm hoping to do a "proper" scrapper card to add before the week is up.)
