ATCASE #5; CAS(E) #12; CASology #28; Pixie's #57 ~ A Heart Martini

Happy Funday!

Thank you for taking a break from whatever you were doing and stopping in!  We got a last-minute call that the twins are feeling better, so we're heading out to meet the family for lunch.  Yippee!
For my card today, I used this delightful sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch:

And thanks to the great ladies who bring us these fun challenges to fuel our imaginations, I am also playing in this week's CASology, where the cue card is "DRINK," and Addicted to CAS: ATCAS #5, where the code word is "HEARTS."  Thanks to Di and her encouragement to use up my scraps, I am joining the girls on the snowy playground at Pixie's Crafty Snippets.  I hope you get a chance to check out these great challenges!

Walla:

I turned the olive cocktail pick into a heart cocktail pick for you to stir your martini, baby, made extra icey cold so's not to melt your hearts too soon.  Slurp.

Oh, and I used a marker to ink up my martini stamp, so I could leave part of the stem uninked in order to lay my sentiment in the middle of it.  Then, after stamping the sentiment, I just sketched in the stem by hand, so it ended up looking like one big image, instead of two.  Did I fool ya?

Speaking of parties, please help me welcome more new friends!  Today we have:
Maria of Crafty Cre8tions.  If you like dogs, her banner will have you kissing your monitor!
Diane McVey (let me know if you have a blog, Diane, so I can mention it)
Welcome, ladies, and thank you so much!!

~~~
Just real quick, for those of  you who have been praying for, or sending positive thoughts to, my blog friend, Bernie, I want you to know her bowl of onions is not quite as big as she feared, but she still does need us to help her get through her fight with cancer.  You do make a huge difference and she is so appreciative and so am I.  Thank you!
You're the best!  In fact, here's a favorite song of mine, all about peeps helping peeps!  Bill Withers, singing "Lean on Me," here.
~~~

Okay, gotta dash for a twin fix!  You enjoy your day today, too!  No, seriously, enjoy your day.  LITS!
Thank you so much for stopping by the Playhouse.  Special thanks to you if you take the time to leave a comment or join as a follower!

Now that idea for leaving out part of the stamped image, is genius! You definitely had me fooled. Don't get too excited, though, because that doesn't tend to be hard to do exactly ;)
YAY! for twink recovery. I have a single sicko at home and am waiting for the rest of us to fall like dominoes. Again.

You are so sweet Dranell. Thanks for the link, loved the song, I am leaning on you and lots of others. Fantastic card! You must have a steady hand, can't tell where the stamp stopped and you took over. Fabulous!

Hi Darnell !!!!! I've missed quite a few of your posts, can't keep up :) Love your valentine martini with the clever stamping. My favorite of your recent posts is the black & white one on the previous, gorgeous ! Also like your pretty bright flower card in the previous to the previous post (how is that for memory and weird English?)

I hope all is well, congrats on 200 plus followers ! Happy Sunday, Shirleyx

Hope you had fun with the twinks Darnell. I love your gorgeous Martini of Lurve but I think I'd better stick to coffee this morning! Vicky x

PS I got the nail through the finger 'joke' from a shop called The Works. Don't know if you have that in the states? If not, I think any joke shop will oblige!
