CASlicious Seasons

Hello Stamplings!

Thank you for stopping by today! Last week went by very slowly, which is something you rarely hear me say. I think it is the changing of the seasons that does me in. I'm an early riser and I have a hard time getting up when it's dark outside.

While I adjust, I'm thankful I can use this wonderful hobby to combat the darkness by making light and bright cards to lift my spirits. This is A = Anything Goes week on the I.D.E.A.S. Calendar and I went uber CAS = clean and super.🤭Ha, that was a slip of the ginfers, but I might be onto something. Very few cards we make are really simple, are they? Even if they don't have a lot of elements, they can take time or be difficult. So how about CAS = Clean and Super?!

Onefer
For my Onefer, I used Donna's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and brought out one of my favorite fall stamp sets. This rake and the autumn sediment are from the "Fall" set (2012) by Technique Tuesday. I stamped the autumn using a Kaleidoscope ink pad. The rake was stamped, clear heat-embossed, painted, and fussy cut. Oh, and, of course, winked by Hammy and Stanley! I add some rusticity by lightly inking the border. The circle sediment is from Memory Box.

Playing in: Allsorts (Anything Autumn); CAS on Friday (Autumn/Fall); Freshly Made Sketches; and Seize the Birthday (Use Fall Colors).

Twofer
For my Twofer, I was inspired by the September challenge at Pinkfresh Studio. Both the beautiful wreath and the gold-embossed sediment are from my NBUS Pinkfresh Studio set called, "Seasonal Sprigs." I painted the wreath using my Ziggies and, as with my Onefer, the lads were delighted to have lots of tiny areas to wink!

The Pinkfresh Monthly Challenge also has a theme and you are welcome to link your design using just the theme, or just the colors, or either/neither. They just want to see you have fun and link your new creations using their products. I used just the colors and I loved painting these hues on a Christmas wreath where you might not expect to see them!

Playing in Addicted to CAS (Circles); Pinkfresh Studio; Rudolph Days; and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday (Christmas in September).
~~~
Enjoy your week! No, seriously, enjoy! LITS!*
As always, thank you for coming by to visit the Playhouse!
*Life is too short!
Two super cards as always. The autumnal one is perfect for the theme at Allsorts - thanks so much for joining in. Pretty colours used on the wreath card as well. You are right, the darker mornings do make it a tad more difficult to get out of bed to face the day.
Both delightful but, with the purple hues, the twofer gets my vote!
Hope you soon adjust to the changing seasons, Darnell, all the best
Beautiful cards Darnell - and wonderful to see the lads winking there - they really are experts at it!!
Love the Autumn one in particular, but both are gorgeous.
We have just started Daylight Savings Time here, and add in a hit from a migraine cluster, and I am not functioning all that well at all... give me a few days and I will be back to full steam...
Blessings
Before we can blink, the days will start getting longer again. At least that is what I tell myself. :) Your cards are lovely. I like the unique look of the Autumn one with the leaves in the letters. Your cards always shine (and sparkle). Love it!
"Clean and Super" is the perfect interpretation for the CAS acronym, especially when applied to your two cards today.. They are both delightful! The warm fall colors of your birthday card make me want a cup of hot cocoa and an hour (or two) of sitting by the fire. And I love non-traditional colors for Christmas cards. I don't know why I don't make more of them myself. Mayhaps, I get too bogged down by all the red and green holiday papers in my stash. Thanks for inspiring me to set them aside for a change!
Great fall birthday card Darnell, like the CAS and your Christmas card is stunning, like the wreath and the colors you used!
The first Autumn make is very pretty with the coloured leaves within the letters Darnell, and the addition of the leaf rake is inspired as the shape is just right to fit with the triangular shape on the sketch, and the touch of yellow round the edge looks great. The Christmas wreath is a beauty too and love the colours you chose, and the gold embossed Merry Christmas finishes it so perfectly..two brilliant Clean and definitely Super cards. x
I am definitely in the CAS category does not mean quick! Ha! But I do love your CAS cards, their fun designs and colors. How appropriate of you to swoop from Autumn to Christmas, as if it doesn't fly in that quickly for most of us! Two very fun cards, Darnell
It's funny how different seasons evoke different colors. Your autumn card has the warm colors I love and while I don't want to rake them, I love the colors as the leaves change. The Christmas wreath colors are becoming a new tradition for a lot of people and I think it is bright and lovely.
Wonderful card designs for two seasons, filled with beautiful colours. Autumn is my favourite time of year and the warm and earthy colours of first card show them off. Your Christmas wreath looks fantastic with these gorgeous colours. Both your cards are artistic and beautiful, my friend. Enjoy your week! Love, Lolly
I LOVE the idea of "clean and super" and it superbly fits your autumn card! Actually, I think it's one of my favorite fall cards I've seen this year. The design is fabulous inspired by the sketch and I honestly think this should be a winner. Your Kaleidoscope pad performed beautifully. What a great stamp set this is! There must be something about your slow week that brought out the beauty in your cards 'cause I'm loving your Christmas wreath also! Another clean and super card, and so pretty in these colors with the gold embossed sentiment in the center.
2 wonderful cards. I love the autumn stamp on the first one and the non traditional colours on the second. Season changes are often unsettling. The changing atmospheric pressure can physically impact some people. My hubby is one of them xx
Popping back to say thank you for sharing your beautiful Autumn card in the Allsorts Challenge.
