Hello Stamplings!
I hope you're doing well as you start this new week! May Mother Nature be kind to you this week!
I ended up having a very busy week last week with ongoing birthday lunches and even some girlfriend shop-and-talk days. With this birthday, more than ever, I'm embracing my friend Cheryl's motto of, "Do it while you can!" DIWYC. No, leave it.
This is E = Embossing week on my I.D.E.A.S. Calendar and time necessitated that I keep things QACAS.

I used a NBUS 3D e/f from Simon Says called "Feathery Fronds" and just brushed swaths of different colors in approximate areas where I could see the fronds were located on the folder and then I ran it through the machine. It might have been easier to blend the swaths of ink on after wards, but I would have had to lay the colors on with a heavier hand in order to get down inside the narrow fronds. By swathing the ink on first, I was able to keep the colors pastel, but still summery.
A simple matting and a NBUS sediment from Concord & 9th's "Everyday Expressions" finished it up.
I'm playing in the CAS challenge at Krafty Chicks.

This card uses the same e/f, but I used the debossed side. I used another NBUS sediment from the Everyday Expressions set and a geriatric butterfly from BOB. Look at the smile on her face from finally being out of that box!
I'm playing in Just Us Girls Mood Board challenge, inspired by the teal-y fern fronds.
Moving onto Christmas with this design because a) the curved panel, the conversation bubble die, and the polar bear were all in BOB, and b) I had a NBUS snowfall embossing folder to use from Simon Says called, "Soft Snowfall."
You know how we all have certain things that we love and we keep buying, like butterflies or poppies? For me, it is snowfall embossing folders. I begged myself to stop over the years, to no avail, and I have a substantial collection. Well, I'm glad I kept looking because this one finally chills my blains and now that's crossed off my list!
The polar bear is from Trinity Stamps called "Have An Ice Day" and the NBUS sediment is from Uniko's "Simply Said Blocks Christmas Clear Stamps." Hammy and Stanley winked the bear's scarf, mittens, and socks and added snowflakes dipped in white ink to the frozen pp pond using an old rubber dowel stamp from Rubber Stamp Tapestry. They do make a great team as it takes two of them to hold the stamp upright and then plunge it down. I really must take a video one day.

Again great cards !!!!!
They are beautiful, Darnell xoxo
Your first card is beautiful with the pastel colors. You did good blending the colors first, that is for sure. Gotta love a card with a happy butterfly. And that polar bear is having too much fun! Thanks for sharing, Darnell and I hope you have a marvelous week!
Your feathery fronds embossing folder makes such a pretty background, Dolly! Smart move to ink the cardstock before embossing for a great look and it's just as fine debossed! I'm loving that skating bear and your snowfall embossing is a perfect ending for your snowfall search!
That's an impressive embossing folder and you've used it to great advantage. Also I love the skating bear - so cute. I know what you mean about snowfall E/Fs they are definitely collectable 🤣...as are many other kinds as well.
Fun eye candy post. Love the embossing folder. It worked lovely for the JUGS challenge! Thanks for joining in!
Those soft pastels on the fronds are gorgeous. All three cards are great. I look forward to the video of Hammy and Stanley stamping. They are a terrific team of stampers and work so well together.
Your cards evoke a sense of fun and frolic, equally fun colors and the third sends shouts of joy -- I can hear them now! Your tree is beautiful! I'm not familiar with it, but it's definitely beautiful
Your embossed backgrounds add such wonderful depth to all 3 of your creations sis! Love that frond background sponged with color on the first and as a lovely background for that cool butterfly. The snowfall is certainly being enjoyed by the ice skating polar bear too!! Julia xx
These are all SO wonderful, Darnell!! I can't even pick a favorite. :-)
Happy belated birthday! Your cards are fabulous, I like your fronds embossed and debossed and that ink blending is beautiful, darling skating bear card!
Three wonderful cards with embossing, Darnell - just love the fronds on cards one & two and the snowfall with the cute polar bear on card three! Thanks for the inspiration!! And, oh my, what beautiful flowers on your crepe myrtle trees!!
£ lovely cards, but that first one is something special. I just love how you added colours. It looks amazing. I am glad you have now found your perfect snowy embossing folder xx
The most fun and wonderful threesome ever, D! wait... that didn't sound right...lol

Nice cards Darnell, especially the one for our Just Us Girls challenge! The texture, even on the back side of the embossing folder, is great. That butterfly was a great focal point idea too. Thanks so much for joining us!!!
Embossed or debossed those fronds make a great backdrop for whatever you want to put on it, Darnell. Just a sentiment or that out-of-this-world butterfly that's been hiding in BOB. Your skating bear is so happy you found yet another snowfall embossing folder for him to chill with.
Terrific cards, Darnell! And that is a pretty neat e/f!
An ice skating polar bear. How fun.
Oh, the fun of these three fabulous cards! So pretty the color you laid down for your fronds. That is a folder after my own heart. Love the look of it! Just as pretty debossed with the geriatric butterfly resting on top. Your ice skating bear makes me smile just thinking about how you combined BOB and NBUS. I love rooting around in my toy box to put a card together and it's almost as much fun when someone else does it!
I share your addiction to snowfall embossing folders!! Really, how many do we need? (Answer = all of them). So needless to say, I love your second card! What perfect patterned paper for the icy lake the bear is skating on. Tell the boys they did a great job stamping the snowflakes on it.
Amazing cards and wonderful backgrounds. Such a fun Christmas card. Thank you for joining us at BYSHC Christmas in July Linky Party.
I do love your cards in this post. The first one, especially, tickles my fancy (couldn't help but check the origin of this one. It's from 18th century England, probably from the writings of Abraham Tucker). I'm glad you were able to spend time with friends. They make every day brighter!
A fabulously bright and cheery array of gorgeous cards, and yes please to the plunge video 😂🤣😂xxx
Gorgeous cards, Darnell, and I love how the same embossing folder looks so different with the colours you used. The skating bear makes me smile - he looks as if he's going to dive in through a hole lol!
Take care,
Hugs

What a great decision to brush the color on the panel before embossing! You did a fab job of it. Another wonderful set of cards! And you are so right to focus on celebrating with your friends when the opportunity presents itself.
You make me want to get my embossing folders out! Such pretty cards! Yes, we need to do it while we can. I ma home from the grandkids so have a bit more time to do it now:)
The fern fronds look brilliant on the first two cards Darnell, and love the mix of pretty colours you added on the first and a striking plain blue with a wonderful ornate butterfly added to the second, and two great die cut sentiments as finishing touches. The last is a wonderful Christmas card with that cute skating bear, and the lovely falling snow EF and the icy blue with little stamped snowflakes for the skating area and finished perfectly with the ornate speech bubble..Hammy and Stanley did a great job with the winking too. x
I love your wintry bear card, Darnell! I also took a peek at your playhouse... so fun!! Thanks for linking up with our Christmas in July {BYSHC} Linky Party!
Looks like you and BOB had a productive time. The first card knocked my socks off...not really I hate socks. But I do love that shimmery textured card. The debossed side is quite lovely too. Those snowdots make a lovely snowfall backd rop for your bear. I can see why you'd be addicted. My second set of postage stamps arrived. Yay?
You've been busy and I like the results! Always a treat to have one of your cards in our JUGs gallery and I"m LOVING the polar bear!
Love that 3D e/f! And especially how you used it on the first one; Stunning!
A beautiful card Darnell. The soft pastel colours are just beautiful and I love the bold sentiment in contrast. Thanks for sharing with us at Krafty Chicks challenge. Hugs, Denise x
Your array of cards Darnell are amazing the colours and butterfly gorgeous as is the polar bear xx
I always love it when you play along, Darnell! Super makes as always, and I am so with you on the 'do it now' theme. Life truly is short and precious. Big hugs, and thanks for playing along with Gail and Jo at The Christmas kickstart, Jo x
polar bear for the win
Beautiful Christmas card. Thanks for playing at 52 CCT challange.
Such a great card and oh my I don't have a snowfall embossing folder eek! How have I not got one? Thanks for sharing with us at ATSM
Love them all Darnell. I think my fav has to be the skating polar bear. I'm so ready for cooler temps to stay. This roller coaster is too painful. I'll just put my ice skates on and join your polar bear until then.
