I'm happy with how it prints digis (on neenah cardstock) but I've never tried to print dsp because I have enough bought paper to last me 'til I'm 125 yrs old! I never tried printing on vellum because I don't use it, and it will NOT print on heavy cardstock (PTI) regardless of the settings I use. It just jams and sits in the feeder and ends up with a big blob of black on the top of the sheet :) It works for my needs, so I'm not complaining :)Carol Lhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04695974378294164512noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-709379730385988881.post-73160391175067690002013-06-16T12:58:53.988-07:002013-06-16T12:58:53.988-07:00Love how the mat reflects the shape of the stamp. ...Love how the mat reflects the shape of the stamp. The cartridges are $40 (Can) for a black/colour combo pack. The printer itself cost $30, lol! It prints on anything I throw at it - 110 lb cardstock goes through as easily as paper - and the print quality is not too bad. I don't do a lot of colouring, but watercolouring is definitely a no-go with this one. There are different models but I love mine! My ink cartridges are separate and that works out great, I only have to change the ones that run out. I haven't had a problem running cardstock through it. It's a workhorse and the toner lasts "FOREVER"!!! I prefer laser prints for any digis that I'm going to color in. For digis that I want to colorize I use my Epson color printer. I can run very thick cardstock through my HP laserjet. I select the option to feed through the back so the paper doesn't have to curl around the rollers. Fab colors too ... and the ribbon and square brad are perfect.<br /><br />I have an old HP inkjet printer that's about on it's last legs. As many have mentioned, a lot of printers won't print on heavy cardstock or watercolor paper. Here's what I do to get around that. I made a template of a rectangle box the size of a standard card ... and I have the box located near the bottom of the page on my file (about 1" from the bottom). I used this template, adding my digital images to it each time, which also helps me with the sizing as well. I print off the image onto computer paper.<br /><br />On to the printing for the card ... I cut my cardstock to the standard size and use temporary adhesive to attach it over my printed template, lining it up with the rectangle box and then re-insert into my printer. The printer starts chugging along and grabs the computer paper and starts feeding it through before it realizes that there is a thicker piece attached part way down the page, it's already gone through and printed. Hope that makes sense. Yours turned out great. As for a printer, I have an HP 6380 Photosmart all in one. I did a lot of research before I bought it and have had no problems with it until lately (it's probably 6 or 7 years old). I don't do much all over color printing and you can go into the settings and change for heavier cardstock. It also does well on vellum. I have used ink for at least 2 tio 3 weeks beyond the notification that you need to change cartridges. I'd say it's served me well.Bobbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05545534565564730223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-709379730385988881.post-11195344496270523052013-06-15T10:04:19.891-07:002013-06-15T10:04:19.891-07:00Hi Darnell, I've been a bit AWOL of late - bus...Hi Darnell, I've been a bit AWOL of late - busy home life and missing mojo - but I had to have a look at your ombre card as my teenage daughter has ombre hair!
