Hello Stamplings!
I hope you are doing well wherever you are! Now that I've gained five pounds Halloween is behind us, I have a final fall birthday card to share and from hereon, the lads and I will be frolicking about making Christmas cards!
Onefer
I had the SSS Feathery Fronds e/f and the Altenew Autumn Bounty Die Set on my desk from earlier makes. A little blended ink on the fronds and intentional color matting brought them together like that's what I intended all along.
Hammy and Stanley added the frost on the pumpkin as this year's harvest draws to a close. Playing in Inkspirational Challenge: Visual Prompt Fall Photo.
Twofer
I stayed with fall colors, but made them bold and bright to break out my NBUS stencil from The Greetery called, "Deco Triangles." I used Concord & 9th ink and paper, also for the first time, coupled with an ancient sediment banner from PTI.
Playing in Little Red Wagon: "S" is for Stencil; and Seize the Birthday: Geometric and Word Die/Dies.
Threefer
This simple Christmas design uses my NBUS stamp bundle from Hero Arts called, "Color Layering Holly Branch Bundle." The sediment is also from the same set and the diagonal strip and mat are cut from red glossy card. The lads added more gloss by dropping SU Shimmery Crystal Effects onto the berries and their toes!
Playing in ABC Christmas Challenge: "U" is for Unused Stash; Color Hues: Red and Green; and Freshly Made Sketches: #760 by Jen B.

Enjoy your week! No, seriously, enjoy! LITS!*
My posts will be hit or miss in the coming weeks and I'm taking a break in December for sure. We've lots of appointments coming up, my physical therapy has started, and we are having landscaping done to both the front and back yards beginning this week.
Oh, and a coupla hunnert Christmas cards need to be made! I think I may just do card fronts again this year; like post cards in an envelope. It saves a lot of time and paper and I believe the message is still appreciated.

As always, thank you for coming by to visit the Playhouse! Take good care of yourself!

The fronds E/F goes really well with the pumpkin and I love the impact of the diagonal design for the berry card.

ReplyDeleteOnefer is a pretty fall celebration car. I like the light touch of ink to highlight the leaves. Twofer is certainly bright and festive. I like the simplicity of threefer, the holly just pops

You've been busy and the results are terrific! I like the idea of flowers with the pumpkin, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteWow, love your threefer cards. The pumpkin card is lovely with that background and perfect for fall. The geometric card is a WOW, with all those bright colors and shapes. Thanks for sharing it with us at Seize the Birthday. And last, but not least, the Christmas card is lovely and a perfect take on the sketch at FMS.
ReplyDeleteFirst and most importantly, take care of yourself and the Mister! I hope all is going well.
ReplyDeleteFor your first card, the elements were made for each other! The Fall colors are gorgeous, as is the texture.
Your second card is quite bright and colorful, and graphic but perfect.
Your last card is beautiful -- love the branch and all the foily accents.
Take care, Darnell!
