Kontinuing Kindness

Hello, Stamplings!

How were your holiday celebrations? We had a great time! We'll have a relaxing week going into the new year and then ... the whooshing will start all over again!

And wouldn't it be wonderful if all the kindness we spread around and received over the holiday season could whoosh along with us into the new year, long after the holidays are over? That makes a lovely resolution.
This card was definitely inspired by the awesome challenges below. The heartstrings die is NBUS from Concord & 9th and the sediment is NBUS from PTI's "Choose Joy" stamp set.

Here are a few holiday photos to share with you.
First up, Papa (the Mister) thanking the boys for a gift. I love the love!
After a delish dinner at their house, the boys helped me whip up a Crazy Cake. It's a depression-era cake that has no eggs and needs no bowls. You just mix everything right in the pan which makes it fun for kids of all ages!

And, finally ...
... just for you ladies, here's the Mister again showing off a t-shirt the boys gave him. I couldn't have said it better myself!

~~~
Enjoy your day!  No, seriously, enjoy!  LITS!*
As always, thank you for coming by to visit the Playhouse and a special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower!  Please let me know you came by so I can be sure to return the favor!
Love your card Darnell, the heart looks like rays of sunshine and I agree with you regarding taking all that goodwill with us into the new year...sadly though we always have to take our problems too...wouldn't it be lovely if everything magically disappeared at midnight and January 1st was really a clean slate. BUT it's whats in our heart that matters so |I wish you and your lovely family a very happy 2018 when it arrives, Hugs xx
Hello Darnell: Your card really made me think about all the kindness and love I received from all of my stamping friends this Holiday Season and how true it is that all of that love is carried along in the New Year.
Beautiful and sweet, that is your card, the sentiment says it all.
And thank you for sharing this sweet photos and your card with us at SHOPPING OUR STASH, hope you play along again next time.
I love the sentiment so much Darnell, this is a wonderful card! CUTE photos! My mom's family has a crazy cake recipe too, so yummy. I haven't made it in years, need to whip one up. Love the Mister's t-shirt! Sweet P and my brother's grandkids call our dad (great grandpa) paps. We got him the same shirt for father's day!!
What a lovely sentiment and card to bring in the new year. As we make our cards each day we should be thinking of what we can do to spread kindness. It will be our new year's resolution. The twins have your sweet smile. I see it every time I see pictures of them and the legend looks so happy with his grandsons!
Fantastic card Darnell and yes, hopefully Leslie is rolling her eyes at all the GAH!! PINK!!
Thanks for going GAH! PINK! with the crew from SHOPPING OUR STASH!!
The t-shirt is a kick--how fun! Glad you had a wonderful time with your family, Darnell. The boys are really growing up, but hopefully we're not growing that much older--haha! Beautiful heart & sentiment--love your card! Happy Holidays!
I remember the first time I had a predominantly pink card on my blog and Leslie left a comment with her signature pink(gah) - I was a bit surprised...but then I got to know her and I found out about the pink thing. I still think of her when I see and use it. I miss her sense of humor a lot. Hard to believe its been two years.
YOur card is a perfect one for the SOS challenge, and if only the kindness didn't seem to wane after the holidays life would be better for all I think...even those permanently grouchy.
Have a wonderful day! Hugs.
This sentiment is just superlative, and one we all need to keep in mind as we go from day to day. We just never know when a simple kindness we might do, could be the only uplift to someone's day. (I know this to be so true!) Love the happy colors and this is a pretty die...one I've not seen. Enjoyed seeing the holiday snaps of those teenagers and boy, did I love that T-shirt. Now they need one for YOU! (or do you have one awready?!) Happy thoughts, Happy New Year and enjoy a bit of down time before your energizer bunny charges up again! Big hugs, and TFS. Mwah!
