TAG Time I

Hello, Stamplings!

Happy FriYAY!! Once again our hair is all mussed up from the whooshing this week did as it flew by us!

We are all enjoying the many tags that are flooding the galleries across Blogland right now. We all need them for our holiday gifting and every year the designs just get better and better!

I won a challenge at Tag You're It! a few weeks ago, so I have the honor of being the current Guest Designer. The challenge is to CASE the Featured Artist or use his or her tag design to inspire you to create a design of your own.

This challenge's Featured Artist is my very talented friend, Hazel Kinvig-Paul (My Card Attic). Hazel has designed a baby gift tag for us, which I was happy about because I happen to need a baby girl gift tag. (Babies, like our twin grandsons, have a way of arriving even during the holidays!)

Here's my inspiration for you:
It was overcast all day so the photo doesn't reflect the true colors of my tag which is flustruating. I know you can imagine it matching up better in real life because if anyone has a great imagination, it's you!!

Here is Hazel's darling tag:
How will you be inspired? You can create a tag for any type of gift as long as we can see how you were inspired by Hazel's precious design! I hope to see you there.

Next up is a holiday tag:
Again, sorry for the poor lighting. In person, this tag is pure gloshiness from one end to the other! The paper is glossy, and both the stamped mistletoe and the sediment are heat-embossed to make them beautifully glossy. Both stamped elements are from CAS-ual Friday's cute "Merry Kiss-mas" set.

I didn't have any solid red twine so I took my cream-colored twine and colored it using a red ink cube. I let it dry overnight and wallah!

I am playing in Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags event, pacifically Day Three where the guest designers are from CAS-ual Fridays. I was inspired by Shona Chambers sweet mistletoe tag.
And since it fits these challenges, I'm also linking my tag to:
~~~
I have a few more tags to make and then sleighfuls of cards! Enjoy your day! No, seriously, enjoy!  LITS!*
As always, thank you for coming by to visit the Playhouse and special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower!  Please let me know you came by so I can be sure to return the flavor!
Great design, Darnell. And as always an amazing and funny sentiment. I love the silver embossing glow, so beautifully highlights this sweet twig of the mistletoe. Your coloring is so beautiful. Red, white, silver and green elements - the peak of festive elegance.
And your kids tag ... touching and delightful. As sweet as this little girl for whom he was born.
The first is so very sweet and so adorable. The second is beautiful. Love the embossing.
I feel behind the mark as I have not made a single tag. Perhaps that is a great New Years goal...to make more tags to match my cards...whenever I know the crd will accompany a gift.
