CFC70 ~ A Zebra Bag

Good Morning!

The challenge this week at CASual Fridays is to use black and white and one color of our choice.

The generous sponsor is the fun Neat and Tangled Stamps.

Print

It sounded like a fab handbag card was in order, so I made this:

Sadly, the photo doesn't do justice to the brightness and sparkle of the cord and the gem.  It's a classic little card I return to often because it's fun to make, it makes me happy to look at it, and it's fun to give away.

Everything makes me a little bit happy right now because I'm still having my mussels relaxed by artificial means.  Today I'm going to take half the doseage and see how I do.  Luckily for me and my crafting addiction, the most comfortable position is in a chair, at least for bits of time.  I know it is best if I move around now and then and when I do that, I do it with Ginger Lee.

I have renewed empathy for my friends with chronic pain from backs or fronts, arthritis, or children.  Sorry.  It's the drugs.  Let's pretend we were playing that game where you pick what item does not belong in a sentence.  Of course, children is the answer.  Of course.

Enjoy making today a delightful day!   As always, thank you for stopping by to visit.   Special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower or leave a comment!

Oh Darnell, I love this, handbags are my weakness given that sadly I can't wear all the pretty shoes I'd love to any longer! And your post made me sort of smile - it's such a horrid pain, bit like someone's got a red hot poker prodding at intervals. Ha though, 'eef you 'ave ze good pills make ze most of zem and try ze limbo dancing'. :)

'And perleese send ze leftover pills to zis following address'.........

Home again, home again - cloppity clop - sleeping in own bed tonight and already been playing in craft room. The worst bit of all was saying goodbye to Kay in NM - I whimpered all the way back to our hotel :(

Hugs, Di xx

Gosh I love reading your posts and the people that comment do too!
So cute and funky.
I made loads of purse cards too!
Purses are perfect for samples/scraps of exquisite paper, posted on my blog in July 15th- pretty purses and playing with scraps, if you care to have a peek. I was over visiting your past... blog posts. I was amazed at how long you've been blogging and the beautiful albums that you've made. Just because I'm relatively new to blogging and card making I think that's true for everyone. Nice past;)

Poor you, Darnell. I know this Ginger Lee you speak of. He popped round here when I had my injections for Rwanda. Your Zebra print handbag is a stunner. I will bring you back a real zebra to match, and you can have the first ride in the playground. Maybe a jacuzzi in the playground would be a nice idea? those hot bubbles might help your back. Gentle hugs, Sally x

Hi Darnell,

Glad the meds are working! I'm all too familiar with chronic pain so I totally understand.

Your card is GREAT! Very simple and elegant. I just love it. (And say, I have an outdoor table with that same pattern.)

Good luck with the challenge.

Hugs,
Kay

What a fun bag! Every gal ought to have one! Hope you're feeling better soon. I took muscle relaxers a couple of times. The first time they didn't do a bit of good. The second time I think I zoned out for a week. I remember taking them, but nothing else! I find that making cards and visiting cardmakers is great therapy!

Darnell, I am so sorry you are still having back problems...no fun at all. Your card is just adorable and I love the touch of the bling too. I have a thing for nice handbags, Kate Spade being my favorite and this would be one I would like to have too, just so stylish. Feel better soon!
