CAS-ual Friday CFC55 ~ Bling It On!

First of all, raise your hand if you can believe that today is June 1st.  Me, neither.

It's CAS-ual Fridays challenge time, ladies, so if you have on panty hose and a skirt, please step into my office for some airudition.  We still are in need of airudition here today, BTW, it's another 100+ day.  Bleah.

The Girl Fridays this week are making clean and simple cards with bling and sparkle.  And the challenge is generously sponsored again by Simon Says Stamp. Thank you, Simon!

I'm still stuck on hydrangeas, which mine almost croaked in this heat.  I'll show you another day the tentlike structure Mister helped me come up with last year to shade the bushes.  But I totally forgot to put them up yesterday.  I'm a bad plant owner.  Anyway, luckily, I watered the pink out of them and they look like they will make it.

To make my blingie card, I made a photo card.  I used a photo I took last year of my hydrangea and I put gemstones in the little flower centers to bling it up.

I hope you can see how sparkly it turned out.

Apparently I'm a bad Lizzie owner, too.  I haven't seen her yet today, but I'll get a picture of her tail-less when I do.  One of my Australian friends, Michelle, told me that lizards can drop their tails if they get a fright.  WHAT?!  I even said that I thought Dino would scare me if I was a lizard, which means it's my fault!  I'm the evil critter!  And then what did I do?  I put Dino back out there!  Crumbs and sockets!  Who knew monitoring a lizard could be so stressful?  Dino is back in the toy box, poor guy; he doesn't know why he keeps getting put back in time out.

I prolly won't be back on until Monday.  We have the twins for a sleepover tomorrow, and the grand Duke, too.  I just found out Henry broke his collar bone while I was away.  He careened into another young lad on the playground and fell hard on top of his own arm.  He's in a sling for seven weeks and missed the end of baseball and the beginning of swimming.  It's on his writing side, but my guess is he mostly doesn't miss doing homework. School is out for them in another week, so he won't miss much.  Sweet little bird, he must be getting pretty good at using his left arm.

I wish you all an amazing weekend, where under you are!

Please enjoy ~ and, as always, thank you for stopping by to visit.  Special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower or leave a comment!

That bling on the picture is brilliant (in more ways than one)! I love the photo idea, and you chose a perfect sentiment to go with it.

I'll be thinking of you as we head into the depths of Winter here - although I must admit, it doesn't get too deep LOL!

It is not your fault at all, these things just happen, so please stop worrying so. Poor Henry, hope he mends soon. Love the photo of the hydrangea with the bling. A x

This is a brilliant (pun intended) idea for using bling - and what a photographer you are - your hydrangeas are marvelous and that sentiment is PERFECT - a good reminder to those of us (who me) with a fairly sharp tongue. Have fun with your family this weekend!
