WOYWW 151

I'm back home and posting only because I took the time to stage my photo yesterday and what good is it to anyone if I don't post it here?!  Even though I have a good excuse, I'm running a very large number on The List at this point.  I may double down on my bet.  And you, for sure, get double points if you even stop in here!  But first let me explain to any newcomer, that my odd, even for me, photos are for Julia's Stamping Ground What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday blog, where you post a photo of your workdesk and then go around poking your nose in the business of other workdesks.  Don't scoff, it's addicting.  Check it out if you don't believe me.

I'm still heavily medicated so don't judge.  I was only mildly medicated when I took these photoslate yesterday afternoon, however, so feel free to judge them.  (Argh, a "photoslate" is an unusual type of rock found when the two words "photos" and "late" are run together in typo fashion.)

If you are over 50, you should recognize that jug.  If you don't, and you're over 50, shame on you - get on it.  Here's a close-up:

Enough said.

And the sign, which you probably have to click to see, say's "Closed Til Next Week."  I meant that to mean that the WOYWWers won't see any crafting on my desk today, and if they only visit on Wednesdays, they won't see any crafting until next week.  The rest of you can come 'round nearly every day for crafting and who-knows-what-goofing-off.

And, OBTW, if any of you are handwriting experts, what does it say about a person who starts out writing in all capital letters and ends up writing in Initial-Cap-Small-Letters within the span of only four words?  Don't tell me unless it means that person is some kind of unbelievable genius.

Okay, just a quick amuse mon  before I nap, (which I call "nappy-noodle" because my DDIL coined that adorable term when the twins were just wee babies), and before the drugs wear off, I have to share this conversation which transpired as the sweet little nurse, who looked to be about 15, was trying to insert my IV.  The first time she used the expression, I let it go, but when she had to make a second go of it, I couldn't help myself:

Nurse:  "Okay, now, you're going to feel a little prick."

Me:  "Excuse me.  What did you call me?"

Nurse:  "Oh!  Oooh!  You really got me for a second!  I was thinking, 'Oh my, did I really just call this old lady a prick?"  Chuckle.

Me:  Dazed silence.

I did NOT say, what I wanted to say, which was:  "Sweetheart, you may feel free to call me a prick anytime, but please don't call me an old lady!"

Did I or did I not show enormous restraint?!  Bless her heart.

(Some of you thought I was going to say something else after that initial nurse comment, diduncha?  Bless your hearts.)

Please enjoy ~ and, as always, thank you for stopping by to visit.   Special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower or leave a comment!

HA! LOVE your post today, your right funny when your on meds! And seriously i am over 50 and haven't a clue what that jug is about, as for the hand writing on the sign, just play it off to the meds too, as a matter of fact blame EVERYTHING on the meds! Hope you're feeling better soon! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina #139....giggling "bless your heart", such a southern curse!

How dare that nurse call you an old lady and I admire the restraint. Hope the worst is over and you had some good meds that kept you mellow for many hours.

Thanks for stopping and taking a peek at my craft space and blog organizer. The idea is that if I write in it, then I HAVE to keep it up to keep my blog up...Otherwise I'll just forget what I was supposed to get done...you know how us old ladies are!!!

I have no idea about Gavi Lyte but can guess....I have no idea about the handwriting on the sign, but I'm going to guess at it being a sign of unbelievable genius and not the running out of room problem. Mostly though, I have no clue why you didn't slap the young nurse seven shades of pink. Argh. But I understand and admire you for your tolerance and compassion for her youthfulness. After all, you and I both know what she's going to go through!!

What a sense of humor! Good on you for keeping hold of it and your tongue. I bet if she thought of the incident later she was smacking her own self in the forehead! lol
I know a little about handwriting analysis and, if that caps writing is a one-off, then it doesn't mean much but that you are probably feeling no pain, right now. :) However, if you/anyone ALWAYS writes in all caps, upper and/or lower or a combination of them, then it indicates that person may have a wall, like of blocks, built around them and they may be very hard to get to know intimately or they may always hold somethings back or keep somethings hidden from view. My step-father writes in all caps, except for his signature of course, and he is a very friendly man but still there is a definite part of him that you just can't touch, my mom can't either and I'm not even sure he knows its there but hey people are complicated so...hope you have a lovely day...and stop by to check out my mess, huh? #189~Deeyll

What a brilliant post. You've given me a right giggle on a miserable Friday morning. Yes I am late catching up with all the WOYWWers.
Don't have a clue what the jug is all about but I'm way under 50 so that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
Hope you are feeling better really soon and thanks for the visit.

I still get shocked when I get referred to as a 'lady' - love it when the elderly farmers around here call me a 'girl'!! Off to Google the jug contents - perhaps I need some?? Thanks for visiting my workspace this week. My very slow internet means that I am now sitting in the carpark outside the shops where I can get good signal. Ali x #89
