WOYWW #149

I'm going to be gone on Wednesday mornings and rather than be #213 over at talented and witty Julia's Stamping Ground WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday) tomorrow afternoon, I'm posting now. I visited a good two-thirds of you last week and hope to do the same this week.  Click on over and join in the fun!

On my desk is the beginnings of a card I'm making for a friend which will appear in tomorrow's post, but front and center is what my Easter Bunny Girlfriend brought me on Sunday.  Or I should say half of what she brought me.

I was quite puzzled wondering how so many chocolates could be missing just since Sunday and then, on the walk to the house in the rain, I found the answer:

No?  You're not buying it?  Oh well, it was worth a try.

And just in case you think I'm a terrible wife for hoarding the chocolates in the playhouse, this is what Mister was having tonight for dessert:

Yes, that's a piece of (okay, three pieces of) the left-over birthday clown ice cream cake.  He said the reason it was so large was because he didn't want it to get freezer burn, what with it being two whole days now in the freezer!  You can see why we get along.  Happy WOYWW to all!

Please enjoy ~ and, as always, thank you for stopping by!   Special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower or leave me a comment!

looks like the slug is carrying a piece of candy on it's back. Very viable story. As for the cake story, well that is less believable! lol My hubby's BD was on Easter Sunday this year, so made a scrumptious carrot cake! I swear, I think the rabbits ate it! needlewings # 52

Ha! You'll have to do better than snails! Funny!! And the ice cream cake - I thought it was against the law to put it back in the freezer?
Just think how much colouring time you'll have when you don't have to keep stopping to eat those delicious chocs!

Hey, you stopped me from ever wanting to eat that kind of chocolate again.... (now that has to be a good think...) Incredible photo though and I am sure your card will be lovely!

Have a great week! #32

Life is all about balance and there's definitely a place for ice cream cake and boxes of chocolate. My favourites have just gone on sale (Laura Secord Easter Eggs), so I'm well stocked for a while! LOL!

LOL - love your sense of snail humour!! That's the best excuse I've ever heard for snaffling choccy. But at least your other half is joining in the fun too - does any chocolate cake last long enough to be put back in the freezer??

Hello Darnell,

Oh, don't you love See's candies?!? I grew up in California and See's candies was all over the place.

Every time I visit your blog I fall in love with your little tiny playhouse. Awwww

Ok, about the toilet paper roll. I took it from work. Since the roll was empty I don't consider it stealing.... I mean, I didn't walk up and down the halls with the roll in my hand unwinding tp...... hee

Happy WOYWW

Hi Darnell...
A fellow chocolatier! I just had to come visit you and tell you about the Walnut Whip!
This was a huge one especially for Easter made by Marks and Spencers in the UK. Inside were 5 mini ones...They are a chocolate with either vanilla or coffee whipped marshmallow inside topped off with a walnut...very thick chocolate which is what I like! Your choccies also looked delicious...I am perusing your blog and love the look of your playhouse...going to go inside now...Happy Crafting and Thanks for visiting my blog...xxx
