WOYWW 148

Good Morning!

I'm off to run some errands, but I'm going to try and get this posted first since I'll already be way down on the list of Open Houses over at Julia Dunnit's Stamping Ground What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesdays.  Click on over to see lots of other peep's spaces and let us see yours!

I had a lot of queries last week about how I did such a Whirlwind Cleanup in only ten minutes.  This is how I do it:

Okay, eyes moving down - I mean down to the typewritten words - and wishful thinking put away, the reality of it is that my space is quite compact and since I'm OCD about organization (see "My Stamping Pad" tab above), it's pretty easy to just turn in circles, just like a whirlwind, and bam, it's all put away.  I'm a lucky girl to have my own dedicated space all to myself!  And while it is compact, it's huge and a heap of a ton more space than I used to have and than most crafters have, so I'm very grateful!

I took the following pictures with the chair purposely in the photo so you can see that I can literally roll around and put things away if I want to.  Not that I would ever do that, because of course getting off my buttosski is good for circulation every couple three hours or so.  Mr. Skill above (you Brits have all the luck!) puts things away for me that are in the upper cupboards.

Sorry about the funky lighting.  The sun just came round the yard arm and I don't have time to wait for it to sail higher:

And back we are to the beginning.  Everything is a mess from making yesterday's "Geri the Giraffe" card.  I put this potted Dahlia on my desk to show you what I've mostly been doing the last couple of days and, after cleaning up my desk (of course!), that's what I will be doing again today when I get back home.  I hope my plant babies hold up, however, since I saw on the weather this morning that it is supposed to get down to freezing again tonight!  What the?  Mother Nature is losing it this year!

Please enjoy ~ and, as always, thank you for stopping by!   Special thanks to you if you took the time to join as a follower or leave me a comment!

Love your creative space, Darnell! So beautiful, so organised! My chair is supposed to scoot around like yours does, but the trouble is, these days there's so much stuff on the floor that I can't manage it lol!

Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog! So encouraging. Glad you like my stuff this week! I'm having such fun with it all.

Happy belated WOYWW,

Hi Darnell,

O.k. you really had me going! Instead of Merry Maids there's Merry Men?!?

I always enjoy seeing your desk and notice something different every time I visit.

I'm not participating this week but wanted to stop by and see what you've been up to.
Hugs,
Kay

It IS a lovely space Darnell, a bit bigger than mine but certainly WAY more tidy...I can't do anything without making a horrid mess! I don't recognise the chap holding the broom, but if you have him trapped in a cupboard at your place, I'm telling.

I took a tour of your room and it is awesome! Like you, I have to have things put back in their place, so I spin around and viola' done. My room is 8x9 1/2 even though it may look bigger in the photos. I just re-did it to utilize all of the wall space and leave the center empty. Best floor plan I ever had. dani133

What a lovely crafting space you have and so tidy. You asked if there was a link or template for the carrots. I've posted a tutorial today on how to make them :o)
